Fully agree, we should drop () as only instance of Unit and use unit instead,
imho. It would free up its interpretation as empty Tuple for example, which makes much more sense.

I think these irregularities that don’t follow a rule inside our minds are the most confusing and difficult to understand, especially for students and newcomers.

And not only for them, for me it still is the hardest part of Scala, even after all those years being member of this community. But hé, in school I always got A’s in math and F’s in languages.
