Shameless plug: I just released Smockito, a tiny Scala 3 facade for Mockito that may fit your use case quite well. It desugars into Mockito calls with hopefully much better type safety and synergy with the typical Scala idioms. That said, I agree with the above comments, the usefulness of a tradicional mocking framework as Mockito depends a lot on your coding style.
